April 9th, 2025 - N
- When the site is in mobile mode, made the nav turn invisible and the text white to match. Hopefully this will fix it looking too same-y on mobile
- Also the link hover is red since the text is white
- Added a little more padding between the main and footer to show off the background a bit
- Testing icon image in nav as a link to main
- Made the white background on hover specific to the header, main, and nav, so that it wouldn't include the icon image in the nav bar, it was showing as just the bar at the bottom
- I'm not sure if this will come back to bite me when I want to make an image link that is in the main
- Messed around with it a bit more to try to get the img to cancel out the hover on the white. I suppose I can make it specific to just p and li instead of the whole main, but I'd have to keep adding more h1 h2 h3 h4 each time I discovered I'm using new brackets
- The "active link" border also only showed as the bar at the bottom, but moving the a to be outside the box div helped
- Bonus now is the box stretches to fill the entire top on mobile mode, which feels intuitive
- images in the main still have the annoying box at the bottom, which I can't seem to get ride of with "transparent" or "initial"
- It does go away when you put a div between the a and the img, so maybe the solution will end up being to make an image div that holds the rest of the style for it as well (i still need to get images looking nice anyway)
- updated the RARE timeline a bit
- Okay yeah I listed every attribute to get around there being a white background on links. and wrote a note to my future self that it may be a future issue if my links aren't hovering correctly (this is my second note to self)

- Started pages for RARE press and modern press about the show
- Added my current collection of links to the modern press page
- Added page links so far to the resources hub, double ched that all icon images show up correctly and links work
- Template for the timeline added to Rag Dolly timeline page
- RARE timeline added dates for Wikipedia and Lost Media Wiki pages

- So the reason that the nav image wasn't showing up is I was messing with the wrong one
- Created a new timeline class, similar to the quote class but edited slightly to pack closer together
- Started filling in the RARE history timeline, this took more digging for dates than I expected
- Sidequest! saved all of the correspondance involved in getting the 1984 ESIPA footage from the New York State Archives. Not a website thing but it's relevant.
- Back to the timeline with new info in hand
- Finished timeline for the moment with my current information and ideas

- Moved over the new home page and created a template page
- Changed home link to newhome on each current page
- Started a spreadsheet to format a system before I start making pages
- Made a "back to top" button and coppied it from the template to all current pages
- Made a new links page for the socials
- Rag Dolly reading list & Raggedy Ann media list pages created
- began adding links and information to both
- I believe I can use my quotes boxes to create an interesting timeline look, or at least I can make a new class inspired by them to create something cool

- Added a placeholder for download links to the RARE program pdfs

- Second day really playing with the site, started off with messing with backgrounds again to find at least a good starting point I can work with
- Made "Meet RARE" page, created a column system specifically for these bio sections, and coppied over information
- Made "News" page, added basic template for my formatting plan
- Made "FAQ" page, also just basic template for my formatting plan
- Made this Site Info & Update Log page, began adding my collection of links
- Made "Resources" page and began layout of what pages I plan on putting there
- Made "Contact" page as well
- Connected links from all the new pages
